> Personality
  • He has a twin brother who he's very protective over. The two get along well, though he's still learning to pull back his smothering a bit since his brother has more mana than he did when they were young.

  • He generally speaks with a pleasant, formal demeanor, sounding a bit like a friendly nobleman from an older time. However, when he gets upset, one of two things can happen: his accent starts to slur, making him harder to understand, or he can force his voice to stay calm and event at the expense as sounding incredibly false.

  • He's a fairly distant person. He grew up with only his twin to count on, considering the outright neglectful nature of their parents, and the two constantly leaned on each other for support. Because of that, he got into the mindset that he couldn't trust or rely on anyone for anything (except his brother), and began trying to become self-sufficient. Eventually, he became renown for his skill at potions and nature magic, selling his abilities to keep the family afloat and pamper his less-magical sibling -- though his brother's growth in mana has made that less necessary. The only other person he's come to rely on in his life is Diarmuid, his Servant.

  • Despite that, however, he's a fairly friendly person, too. He treats strangers nicely, is hospitable to people who may need it, and generally just tries to be a good person. This is partly because he wants to be nothing like the parents he remembers, partly from studying older myths and liking the idea of their hospitality and friendliness... and partly from seeing some of the modern world. It's shocking for a magus to get involved with it, but a few things drew him out enough to check, and though he isn't overly fond of it, the harsher change to the world makes him want to try and be open-handed more than ever.

  • He's a very emotional person, and tends to cry easily if he's moved or overwhelmed -- which is easier to happen than someone might think, considering he's a magus. He's never really ashamed of his crying unless he feels like it's getting in the way or he's cried too much in one day, which can happen if he's moved enough by something.

  • He can sometimes be clumsy with other's feelings because of the way he grew up. He never intends harm, of course, and he never intends to treat people as lesser or stupider, but he simply doesn't have the delicate touch to handle fragile feelings all of the time. However, one of the things he adheres to is something he learned while mixing potions: "Mistakes are unavoidable. However, a mistake made once never need be made again." If you mess up, learn from the mess up and make sure not to do it again. Because of this, and because of the fact that he'll genuinely apologize if he understands/is helped to figure out that he caused offense, he tends to be looked on favorably even despite his clumsiness.

  • He can get very defensive if someone he cares about puts themselves down, leading to him aggressively yelling about how good they are and how they shouldn't treat themselves that way.

  • Because of his looks, he's often mistaken for female, enough that it's somewhat of a berserk button for Cion, ending up with him yelling at the person for being an idiot. While he tries to be as dignified as possible, this mistaken identity is such an irritation to him that he'll throw away all dignity and pull his pants down if someone simply refuses to take his word for it.

  • His favorite color is purple and his favorite flower is Clematis, partly because he loves how it looks and partly because Diarmuid made a habit of bringing him some on his birthday.

  • He is 100% gay, but entertains women to at least be polite. He'd never sleep with one or seriously date one, but he might "play" with her a bit if she wouldn't take no for an answer and go away.

  • He likes to garden and keep track of his own plants. He also likes to set things up, like fields for gardens or rooms to work in. He also enjoys reading.

> Abilities/Traits
  • Cion's nickname of the "Flower Magus" (or "Magus of Flowers", in some cases) comes from two sources.
-| The first is his magic, which is entirely plant based; he can grow plants normally or manipulate them and their growth for other purposes. He can harness vines as weapon, allow rare plants to grow healthily no matter where he's set up, and can even enchant flowers to assist him (such as a "walls have ears" situation, where he can enchant them to be able to transfer sounds to him so long as the flower is attached to the earth in some way). His ability to grow plants freely also allow him to make potions of all kinds... as well as poisons.
-| The second is his home. The grounds of his manor are always overflowing with colorful flowers, since Cion seems to find a deep comfort in them.

  • While he does focus in magic like any normal magus, he has somewhat kept an eye on the modern world. While he can never bring himself to use guns, he does carry around a long dagger hidden in a sheath on his leg, the dagger's hilt jeweled. He rarely uses it -- and when he does, it's often for plants -- but he keeps it all the same in case he ever does need it.

  • His parents were actively neglectful and refused to lift a finger for him and his twin throughout their entire lives, forcing them to rely on servants or themselves for whatever they may need. Because of this, when his parents sickened and required aid, he refused to give them any, instead turning them over to the modern humans after some trickery. Because of their nasty temperament and violent distrust, they ended up dying cold and alone in an alien world.

  • Cion's from the same world as Kazimir, where Servants are summoned for life to help grant their wishes and raise their Master's power; Cion and Diarmuid were together for quite a few years (along with his brother and Hohenheim) before the incident happened. An enemy magus, envious of their ability to have Servants and wanting to remove the stronger of the two from being competition, captured Cion's twin sibling and demanded he force Diarmuid to do awful things or he'd kill them. Cion apologized to Diarmuid, and it seemed as if he'd do just that... but rather than obey, he instead plunged his jeweled dagger into his own heart. Being unable to choose between his sibling and his loyal friend, Cion solved the problem the other way by removing himself instead. It would dispel Diarmuid, preventing him from having to do any horrid deeds, and remove him as a rival, satisfying the other magus' deal so that his brother could live on.

  • He is an adult, but looks far younger than he should because of an incident with illusion magic. He's less insecure about it than he is about his gender appearance, but it still drives him mad. He is somewhat comforted by the fact that it also affected his twin, since they were working on it together; to have the backfire affect them identically is immensely rare, but he sees it as a miracle.

  • He and Ailin can mingle their mana to the point that it's like "holding hands" with their souls. This doesn't accomplish anything much of note -- they can't draw on one another all that well -- but it makes the two of them feel like a complete whole only when together. When they're separated, they feel a dark, empty hole where the other would be; a hunger that can never be satiated except by the return of their other half.
